Hey everybody!
Well, this week has been awesome! Just like it has been this whole
transfer! I have seen so many miracles since this transfer started! So
get this! Haha. We got permission to go to the temple with Maria
Espinosa for her first time. So we went on Saturday for the 930
session. We were waiting and waiting in the waiting room, expecting
them to come at some point! They never came! So we just went to a
session basically for no reason hahaha. They ended up getting there
late and just went to the 11:00 session! Isn't that crazy?! It
was super awesome to go again in spanish though! I can understand more
and more every time!
Yesterday we had a mission tour by elder Steven Snow. It was pretty
good! He talked about how we can simplify our problems as
missionaries. He also talked about how we can teach more effectively.
It was kind of anti-climatic.They also talked about keeping a record
of your life. As in a journal. Sister Morgan shared a journal entry of
her great great grandfather who lived in the time of Joseph smith. It
was really cool! They talked about how we can all see the facts of our
life. When we were born, when we were baptized, when we get married,
etc. But they can't see how we felt during all of those experiences.
So I have been trying to write down my feelings more recently to try
to keep a record of my life in a more personal way. I would invite all
of you to do so as well! It's already been really cool to see even
more blessings every day in that way!
It has been soooo hot and soooo humid! We are dying! It's funny
because I remember this from last year but it's like worse because my
mind forgot how crappy it was hahaha but I love it! There are tons of
people out on the street and everything is awesome! The summer in the
icy is the place to be! The only thing that makes it better is coco
helado! It's the best thing in the world!! (Coco helado! It's coconut ice cream is the literal translation, but it's like a sorbet but made with milk, so it's like creamy)
Besides that, we had two baptisms on Saturday! It was really cool! At
the end we were singing "mas cerca dios de ti" (nearer my god to thee)
and I just felt the spirit super strong, thinking about how those two
people had stepped into a new life, closer to god. It was actually
really cool! I really like that song! It's pretty and the words are
super powerful! It's amazing how music can bring the spirit so strong!
Well, our investigators are doing well! We had a little hiccup with
Lianabel this week, so we are trying to make sure that she wants to
get baptized for he right reasons, but we have faith that she will get
an answer really soon and be able to follow along and get baptized
this month! Also, Wendy Anderson is doing awesome as well! We love
her! We are going to dinner with her tonight to a Mexican restaurant!
I'm super excited!! Haha
Well, I love you all so much and thank you for all of the prayers in
my behalf and for our investigators! You guys are the best!
Love always,
Hermana Jessica Bloxham
