Bloxham Missionary News: Hermana Bloxham

Hey!

Well, we have had an amazing week! I'm pretty sure The Lord had us get
sick to rest up before the rest of the cycle haha. It's been crazy! We
have been have so much success. The Lord has blessed us and continues
to bless us every day. Last week I told you about a referral we got
from a member in the English ward. Her name is Lucy. We got to meet
her and her family on Thursday. Lucy has a daughter named Loraine and
the dad's name is Rudy. It's a family! The first mom, dad, child
family I've ever taught! They are so awesome! Rudy comes out and tells
us that he just wants to listen. So we start off talking about our
expectations for visiting them, and what they want to get out of our
lessons. Then we started teaching about the restoration. We talked
about how much god loves us and prophets and the life of Christ, then
into the apostasy. As we were teaching I could feel the spirit so
strong. I knew they could feel it too. When we ended the lesson, Rudy
said, "you know that feeling inside of you when you feel really good
and your arms tingle and you just feel happy?" (He doesn't speak very
good English) But, we said yeah, that is the Holy Ghost teaching you
of truth. They all loved the lesson and said that they felt really
good while we were teaching. Rudy is super sensitive to the spirit. He
told us that he knows he's doing the right thing because all of the
other churches have doctrine that is all over the place, but we are
straight and focused on the right path. They are super awesome!

We had a ward BBQ for a Father's Day/ primary party and Lucy, Loraine
and Rudy came as well as Luisa and Rachel our other investigators! It
was awesome! We gave them all a tour of the church building and had
lessons with them in front of the baptismal font. It was really cool.
I had a really cool experience when we were touring with Lucy, Loraine
and Rudy. Sister Baker went to open up the curtain through the gym
into the chapel because we didn't have keys. Then when she opened it
up, we all walked over there and right when I walked into the chapel I
felt complete peace. I just stood there for a minute, just looking
around. I felt like Christ had just left the room. It was like I was
hit with the spirit the second we walked in. I've never felt that
before, outside of the temple. It was amazing!

This week had been a super spiritual uplifting week for me. I have
been able to feel the spirit speak through me, I've been able to see
it touch others and I have learned so much from him. I know that he is
a member of the godhead. Isn't it amazing that we get to have someone
with us always who is just like god? He is all knowing and perfect and
he can dwell with us when we do what is right. It is such an amazing
blessing that I have never understood before. God loves us and wants
us to be happy and the best we can be, that's why he gives us so many
chances to become better, and gives us the Holy Spirit to guide us
through all of those times as well as the good times. I love him so
much!

I know that as we accept and follow the plan of our savior and allow
the Holy Ghost, a member of the godhead, to be with us, we will be
happy!
