Padres! (Parents)
So, I don't really remember what I wrote to you in my first letter so I hope this is all new information! I was just reading through my journal to know what to write! I don't know if I told you this yet but on our first day we had a welcoming meeting with all of us new missionaries and it was so cool to hear us all singing "Called to Serve." At the end of the meeting, we sang "To Bring the World His Truth" and instead of "we will be the Lord's missionaries" we sang, "we are now the Lord's missionaries to bring the world His truth!" It really just hit me that we really are here for Him and not for ourselves. We are here to bring the truth of this amazing Gospel to the world! It's cool to walk around campus and hear everyone speaking in their languages. This really is an amazing work and we will all be going all around the world to take that message! Amazing!
So in our first lesson last Friday we were teaching and I was doing Horrible, such a bad Spanish day! At the end of our lesson I wanted to ask him if we could come teach him again tomorrow? But instead I asked him if he could teach us more yesterday! I said "Quiere ensenar mas ayer? instead of Quiere aprender mas manana? would you like to teach more yesterday vs. would you like to learn more tomorrow? I was so embarrassed!!
So on Sunday for our Relief Society meeting we had Sister Carole Stephens talk to us! It was a really amazing talk about having the Lord and Holy Ghost help you through any situation.
How are you guys doing? I hope you're good! Tell about what's going on at home!? Can you guys figure out the twins address in Ephraim for me?
I love you guys so much and miss you tons!!
Love,
Hermana Bloxham
Hola Hermana!!
It is so good here!! I love my district so much! We have 7 elders and 4 sisters. Before I came I heard that you Love your MTC District so much. It's so true!! We have probably 11 of our 15 hours in the same little room every day with our district! You would think that you would get sick of them but I really have so much fun with them. But we also have so many great spiritual experiences with them every day too! I love my companion and the other companionship who are in our district are pretty cool too! One of them, Hermana Whitney, is from New York! The South mission, but soo close! She's my favorite sister I've met here! You know they talk about how you meet your companion sometimes and you feel like you've know them forever? I didn't have that with my companion but I did with Hermana Whitney! She's just like me, but Black and a little more "attitude". Haha, but she's so great! I'm so happy that we get a full 6 weeks here with our district! They are so great! Plus I need 6 weeks, probably more to get more comfortable with Spanish and teaching in Spanish! It's been soooo challenging but I think, in the long run it will definitely be worth it!
I love you,
Hermana Bloxham
What a sweet Missionary! Love her!
